Biography

  • Teaching fellow in sociology at Université Le Havre Normandie (ULHN) (2025-2026)
  • PhD student in sociology at Centre Maurice Halbwachs (CMH). Holder of an agrégation (French teaching diploma) in economic and social sciences.

PRESENTATION
  • My research project aims to understand the production of social inequalities in the first mathematical knowledge objects (numeration and arithmetic) during the first year of primary school. It comprises a comparative dimension, studying how the variation of teaching practices may affect the success of these first learning processes. I am attached to sociology, but also work with the findings of other disciplines, especially history, cognitive science and didactics of mathematics.
PRESENTATIONS AT CONVENTIONS, SYMPOSIA AND WORKSHOPS:
  • « Le lien entre nom du nombre et collection doublement organisée, clef de l’apprentissage de la numération au CP », international symposium on « Comment parler des nombres ? Perspectives pour les didactiques des mathématiques et des langues » organised by the Plurimaths network (Plurilingualisms and the teaching of mathematics), Université Paris Cité, 2-3 December 2025.
TEACHING:
  • In order to protect participants from SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes Covid-19, my classes are systematically ventilated, and the CO2 level is monitored. Every infection by SARS-CoV-2, even asymptomatic, increases the risk of developing severe long-term symptoms known as long Covid.
